I avoided a career ever since graduating from the University of Washington in the 1970's.

Driving a taxi, fishing in Alaska, leading adventure tours in Thailand are a few endeavors that kept a roof (or tarp) over my head until meeting my wife in the 1990's.

For the past 15+ years I've written short stories and novellas with the intent to incorporate them into a series of Pacific Rim Thrillers. Now, we spend more time in her home country of Japan where I’m researching the 2nd Pacific Rim Thriller which will take place in Japan.

A main character in Safe Harbor for the Dead told me you don’t lose who you are when the options for survival from day to day are not ideal, especially when it comes to what women are often compelled to do.

In all of my writing humor is present, often hidden but always ready to pop out even in the most dire situations.
